A Website Refresh, Without the Hassle
How Smart WFM did it without lifting a finger

The idea for a website revamp often starts the same way: your brand is strong, but the look feels a step behind. That was our reality. Our messaging had matured, our services were clearer, but the design hadn’t kept pace with them. We needed a clean, modern style that reflected who we’d become and aligned with our new tagline, Smart WFM: Tailoring UKG Solutions. Once the refreshed brand styling was in place, bringing the same clarity and polish to our website was the obvious next step.

The Brief
Or the lack of one....
There was no formal scope document, just a clear intent to update the website to reflect the refreshed brand styling. “We’d like to start working through our website and make updates to align with our new branding.” We clarified whether this would involve content changes or just visual updates. The answer was simple: “This is purely a design revamp.”
So that became the brief:
- Refresh the design to match the new styling.
- Keep the content.
- Make the site feel modern and consistent.
Our Approach
Brand Styling Refresh
We began by refining Smart WFM’s visual styling, retaining their existing colours and fonts, but introducing cleaner layouts, updated graphic elements, and a more modern overall look. This became the foundation for the website refresh.
Progressive Website Reskin
Rather than a full rebuild in one go, we tackled the project in manageable phases. We started with one key page to apply the refreshed styling. After receiving client approval, we moved on to high-priority pages, those most visited by prospects, before progressively updating secondary sections like blogs and resources.
Consistent Visual Direction
This was a design-first project. The structure and messaging stayed the same. Our role was to apply the new visual language site-wide, ensuring every page felt cohesive and on-brand.
Low-Effort Collaboration
The phased rollout kept internal disruption low. Smart WFM could focus on one section at a time while we handled implementation, testing, and quality checks. Their time investment was minimal, yet the results were immediate.
Creative Direction
Smart WFM’s logo uses circles to represent people and community — a reflection of their human-centric, collaborative ethos. We extended this into the refreshed website design, making the circle the primary brand accent.
Flat colours kept the look clean and practical, while overlapping circles suggested connection and collaboration — echoing how Smart WFM blends people, process, and technology to deliver results.
